S-Works Crux
If you’re after the lightest gravel bike frame, look no further than the S-Works Crux. At 725g, it’s a pinky-finger-light bike that you’d think would get pummeled on course. But that’s not the case at all. It’s one of the most exciting and planted rides we’ve tested.
How’s It Ride?
It makes you wonder if there’s a ride this Crux can’t do. It accelerates like a dream, uncanny with its response to pedal pressure. And despite its featherweight chassis, it holds speed rather effortlessly. Because of its rapid handling, we tend to prefer beefy tires on longer, more straightforward gravel just to improve comfort. But you could just as easily run lean and throw down in a CX event during winter and have a blast on the Crux.

How Ours Is Equipped
Your S-Works Crux will begin as a frameset. We built ours up with Industry Nine AR40 Solix SL wheels (1430g) to keep Crux light and fast. They’re also laced with Sapim CX-Ray spokes for easy serviceability, and I9 offers a lifetime warranty on the wheels. SRAM Red and XX1 Eagle drivetrain top off this premium build and give us the gears for any landscape we want to ride. To build one of your own, chat up our Gearheads for expert advice on a custom setup.
