The name Zipp goes with fast wheels like peanut butter goes with jelly, but we don't typically associate the brand with race-ready tire options. That's changing with the updated Tangente line and its attention to both aerodynamics and low rolling resistance. Sitting in the middle of the line, the Tangente Course Clincher Tire boasts fast-rolling, wind-cutting speed with a new rubber compound formulated for impeccable handling.

Billed as a race-worthy tire for days when the weather is fair and the roads are dry, the Tangente Course utilizes its relatively high, 120 TPI nylon casing for a supple ride and confident road feel. Zipp incorporates a signature rubber compound for exceptional grip to rail corners and jump on the attack, and a puncture protection strip reduces the potential for race-ending flats after you've gotten a gap. To cap things off, these tires feature what Zipp claims is an aerodynamic tread pattern. Given the manufacturer's aerodynamic pedigree, we aren't prepared to second guess that assertion.
