The 404's VCLC (Visco-Elastic Constrained Layer Control) uses visco-elastic material sandwiched between layers of carbon laminate in the rim, thus reducing vibration by 10% and increasing the overall strength of the wheel so you can worry about turning yourself inside-out, not breaking a set of wheels.
