ASRc X01 Complete Mountain Bike - 2016

Yeti loves to create bikes that defy categorization. We continuously see the brand with roots in gravity riding blending the boundary lines between a snappy cross-country frame and a bump-devouring enduro machine, leaving us with bikes that function remarkably well across multiple disciplines. The 2016 Yeti ASRc X01 Complete Mountain Bike carries on that tradition this year, offering the lightweight climbing capabilities of an XC bike with the confidence of a bigger, burlier frame on fast descents. The most influential change to the ASRc line this year was Yeti's introduction of a dedicated women's ASRc, so on the men's side, the company stuck with what worked remarkably well in 2015 with just a few minor updates for 2016.

Yeti shows its passion for all-mountain riding by keeping the ASRc's head tube angle relaxed compared to other XC frames — part of what gives it stability while bombing downhill. It molds the extremely stiff but light frame with high-modulus carbon fiber, modified continuously over the years for just the right blend of lightness and strength. The suspension is a lightweight single-pivot design that uses Yeti's carbon "Loopstays" rear swing-arm with a FOX Float Factory DPS shock to provide unexpected control and responsiveness over pretty much anything you'll encounter on-trail. New this year, the FOX 32 Factory fork provides the same 120mm of plush compliance over big and small bumps as last year, in an updated package.

The ASRc returns with another impressive build kit this year, featuring the light and fast SRAM X01 one-by drivetrain, accompanied by SRAM's Guide RSC hydraulic disc brakes for dependable stopping power. Yeti rounds out this complete build with an impressive set of extras, including DT Swiss XR331 rims paired wrapped with race-ready Maxxis Ikon tubeless tires, a Cane Creek headset, and an Easton Haven carbon stem and handlebars.
