Solid running pack
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
As someone who runs to work every day I needed a pack that could fit all of my things and be comfortable. I run between 5 and 15 miles a day with this pack and it fits quite well, and has plenty of room for me to over pack. The pack is not very waterproof so extra dry bagging is required for adventures in the wet. This sizing on this pack is a bit off, I bought a M/L and have the straps tighten down most of the way to get a fit that I like for running. That said once I got it how I like, it is very comfortable to run with and I have had little to no rubbing issues. Quality wise the pack has held up to quite a beating and is in surprisingly solid condition. I had an issue with the front zipper pocket coming unstitched, I reached out to Ultimate Direction's customer service and they were willing the pack under warrantee. But due to lead time I re-sew it myself and have had no issues since. After several thousand miles most of the piping around on the bottom of the back as well as on the straps, but this has not had an effect on fit. My biggest complaint is my pack has picked up a strong aroma which is hard to remove.
