You'd consider yourself a minimalist when it comes to spending time on the trails, and it's taken more than a few good crashes and several lasting scars to convince you that wearing padding when you ride could be in your best interests. Troy Lee Designs created the Speed Knee Sleeve for people like you.
Lightweight, breathable, and flexible, the sleeve provides 4mm of D3O foam cushioning to shield your knees and shins without inhibiting your ability to spin the pedals quickly. The entire sleeve is constructed free of seaming to eliminate the likelihood of chafing or irritation, and it features reflective logos to keep you visible in case you have to ride a few miles on the roads to get to the trailhead. The abrasion-resistant cover will save you from scrapes and scratches against trail furniture, while the silicone gripper band keeps the whole piece in place so you can focus on your ride.

Runs a tad small
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I’m a small person and have small legs but the knee pads xs/s seem to fit a tad too tight. Meanwhile the elbow pads were way too big and kept sliding off my arms.

Awesome

They don't run down like most people would think. Having bigger cavs, it makes it hard to find some guards that actually fit. These do really well and fit awesome.

I love them.
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
They are super light weight, and comfortable. I suppose one could say that they are not as protective as some of the heavier weight stuff, but then, there is no perfect knee pad, only trade offs between weight/bulk, and protection. For the rider that wants the light end of the spectrum, these have been great. I just had a crash in them, and they did great. What would have been some significant trail rash turned into a minor booboo.

Exactly what I was looking for!

Wasn't interested in any heavy duty pads. These are the perfect combination of light weight, breathable, comfortable and a decent amount of protection from minor bumps/scrapes. First two rides were 3-4 hours long each and I would forget I was even wearing them. No chafing, irritation to speak of. I was worried about how much they'd ride up or slide down, they did not move. Perfect fit and length as well, not too small nor are they leg warmers. Would buy them again in a heartbeat!

Very comfy

Rode my first enduro in these, had them on all day for two full days. Really comfortable and breathed well. I?m a woman and they?re sized for men?s legs, so I had to go up one size. Usually I wear a small/medium, in these I bought a medium/large. Haven?t fallen directly on my knees yet but definitely protected from scrapes and bruises that I?d normally get.

I love this knee pads they feel comfortable great if you?re paddling all day, it has the right amount of padding if you?re using for simple MTB, not made for DH or something too aggressive, the quality and size was perfect and looks simply great... Troy Lee has made Me a customer for life with their quality and cool stuff, I usually buy a lot of equipment For my family and I, since we?re always outdoors doing something especially biking. Highly recommended
