Falconer Aero 2Vi Mips Helmet dials in aero efficiency with ride-ready ventilation
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"This helmet checks so many performance boxes—removable Aerocovers™ are perfect for changing conditions, and STACC airflow keeps me cool on hot climbs. It’s light, fast, and the Fidlock buckle is honestly one of the most underrated features—it just works."
Engineered for efficiency and speed, the Falconer Aero 2Vi Mips Helmet is built for road cyclists who value real-time performance and adaptive airflow. With a design influenced by professional peloton feedback, the helmet features unique Aerocovers™ that magnetically attach or detach depending on riding conditions—providing aerodynamic gains when you need them and added ventilation when you don’t.
The STACC system (Superficial Temporal Arteries Cooling Channel) pushes air directly across the most heat-sensitive areas of the head, making high-output rides more manageable. Under the shell, Sweet Protection’s 2Vi® platform pairs a lightweight construction with the Mips Air system to help manage rotational energy in dynamic crash scenarios—without adding bulk.
Comfort details include a Fidlock magnetic buckle for fast, one-handed operation and integrated eyewear grippers that keep glasses secure when stored mid-ride. The helmet's fit accommodates a wide range of riders and hairstyles thanks to its ponytail-friendly rear opening. At just 300 grams, the Falconer Aero 2Vi Mips brings together airflow, function, and sleek speed in one highly capable package.

Tightening button does not work well
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I would like this helmet otherwise, but as another reviewer said, the button screw to tighten/loose the helmet does not work well, making the helmet not safe or practical.

Great helmet but color not as depicted
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
Bought this model because rated VERY high on Virginia Tech Helmet Rating website, and finally went on sale (happy for that!). I returned the "Dusk" color helmet because it is not the golden color as shown in photos but is paler, cooler, less rich/saturated. Color matters a great deal to me, always, in all spheres of life including cycling items. Bought the "Panther" one to replace, still deciding whether to keep it. (Wish I had bought the Metallic Barbera to start with but all sold out.)

Runs small
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
Despite falling in the middle of the size range, this helmet proved to be a very snug fit and had to be returned. Do not recommend for an online purchase. Can’t fault the space age aesthetics though!

Dialed!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Just got back from a ride in this helmet and realized I hadn’t dropped a review yet! I’ve spent several months with this thing, and it’s the one on my head the most over the other options I’ve got in the garage. In short, it’s excellent. There’s nothing I would change. The fit system, while not a licensed BOA design, is a well executed one that I’ve had zero issues with, and is easy to adjust on the fly when I’ve realized it isn’t tight enough and my glasses start smacking off the underside of the brim. I LOVE the aero magnetic clippy vent covers, not so much for the aero benefits, but because this makes it a true year-round helmet! I actually started my ride in the cold today, and as it (and I) warmed up, I simply just reached up and popped the covers off and stuffed them in a pocket. Super easy, so adaptable. I have a 59cm circumference head right on the dot and I just barely sneak into a medium comfortably. I only snug down the ratchet a few clicks, which is how I like my helmets to fit. I still have room for a super thin cycling cap or balaclava. However, consider sizing up if you’re borderline. The fit is probably the most oval-shaped I’ve worn. I have what I would consider a normal ovalish, roundish head, and this one fits the longest and narrowest compared to my POC, Bell, Lazer, Giro, and Smith helmets. I wear a medium in all of these brands. Glasses storage is flawless, some of the best I’ve ever had in a helmet. Form and function working in synergy
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
The aesthetics initially piqued my curiosity about this helmet, but the features and functionality of this helmet are fantastic. Great for early spring riding when temperatures are still chilly and removing the vents to get some airflow as the temperatures rise makes for comfortable riding—the opportunity to be a bit more aero when riding is fun, too. I purchased the Nani colorway and the finish has some nice design details. I've loved riding in this and look forward to continuing to do so.

Really impressed with the Sweet Protection helmets. I have a Bushwhacker for MTB, and I got this Falconer 2Vi for my gravel/road riding. Fit is great, arguable one of the best looking helmets in my opinion, and it breathes incredibly well. Best part is the aero covers. I find myself wearing it with them off primarily, but as the weather gets cold, I like being able to reduce some of the airflow to keep my head a little toastier. Highly recommend this helmet.
