beautiful tone
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
The bell sounds amazing! However, be aware that it fits pretty skinny bars as stated. I was able to take the screw out and put a zip tie through the hole and mount it to my slightly larger diameter bars. I have seen many different mounts that account for different size bars couldn't this also? I do like the compact size and it seems pretty durable.

Put some brass in your Brompton bell
- Familiarity:

The Brompton bell is meek, anemic, and lacks authority. The Spurcycle compact solves the problem and does not affect the fold, regardless of model. Fits Brompton bars. Tested in the Netherlands, where cyclists ring without apology or explanation. Recommended.

Did not fit handle bars. :/
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I bought two of these, yet both do not fit our bikes. I am contacting Backcountry and Brand to see if they have alternate mounting brackets since the bell is awesome, but the mount did not work on a standard handlebar. I now see that Backcountry website info is incorrect. It states that it 'fits most handlebars'. After researching, I have now learned the SpurCycle website states that it only fits 22.2mm :( .

OMG!!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
-whoohoo! First to review!-- I was never one for a bell on MTB but I found myself tired of yelling courtesy heads up and getting stink eye as I pass people on the trail. ( I'm in the navy and I project my voice like giving orders lol) this little guy saves the day. It's loud, the reasonance duration of the ring is long and this thing sounds lovely like 'time for tea ' I also feel safer coming up on coners giving a few rings so I don't overly surprise someone around the bend.
