Why We Like The Wildcat Chromapop Sunglasses
The Smith Wildcat Chromapop Sunglasses blend the coverage of ski goggles with the airflow of normal sunglasses to keep you comfier as you bike trails and roads. The lens is as innovative as the style is original, with Chromapop technology filtering out crossover colors to enhance contrast so the greens, reds, and blues really stand out. Chromapop also delivers greater definition, more natural coloration, and unmatched clarity. The hybrid frame combines durable TR90 with flexible TPU at the temples for a solid fit regardless of your face shape, and the nose pads are adjustable to stay secure.

Not durable
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Glasses are fragile and break easily at hinge/temple piece. Smith does not offer replacement pieces which means you have to buy new glasses…

Great glasses!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I bought the glasses about a month ago and super glad I did. I was going to get a Tifosi pair but ended up buying these due to the reviews about the comfort. I hardly notice these are on my head! They are super lightweight. Provide great protection with the oversized lenses and they breathe super well. I have not used the adjustable nose piece as the fit seems great as is. I was a little concerned the first time I changed the lenses that I might break something, but now that I've done it a few times, they pop in and out very easily. The carrying case is fantastic and overall I couldn't be happier! If I had one thing I would add is I wish Smith made available for purchase a photo chromatic lense for these frames

These are exactly what I
These are exactly what I was looking for. I wish the lenses could be switched out quicker and hopefully that will be an option in the future. They look great and provide excellent coverage.

Great frames for a bit and then disintegrated
These frames started awesome (I have the pink/blue ones), so much that I also purchased the photocromic lenses. Use for MTB and backcountry skiing. Noticed that the frame color started to fade and got "sticky" so the material was deteriorating. Smith said wasn't covered under warranty. Lame. Beware of longevity.

Smith will not honor warranty claims
Loved these glasses but the hinge gave out on me. I completely expected that the issue would be covered by the Smith lifetime warranty but they denied my claim saying the issue was not covered under their warranty. I feel their warranty policy is grossly misleading and I'm sad they do not stand by their products like other outdoor brands.

Lens Cracked Within a Year
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
The lens cracked within a year. Smith will deny the warranty claim, saying you must have misused it. All I did was wear them while cycling, gently clean them, and then store them in the case until I would need them again. At no point were they misused or damaged due to an accident. The crack happened from normal wear and tear.

Far better options for the price
Poor fit and mediocre lens compared to similarly priced brands. I tried to get used to these for about two months before ditching them for Oakley Sutros. The Wildcat frames are definitely in my peripheral view for biking and the upper lens will touch my eyebrows leaving a nice smudge every time I wear them. The frames also did not fit under my Smith brand helmet. They helped block the wind a little bit but did not prevent my eyes from watering. My first ride with the Sutros I forgot I had them on they were so comfortable, my eyes did not water, and their Prizm lens tech is far superior, no comparison.

Perfect for Triathlons
I’ve been training in these both bike and running. And wore them through my bike and run in my last Triathlon. Didn’t move an inch, light weight, comfortable and have a wide visibility range. Highly recommend.

Design Flaw
Glasses are great when they are on but when folded closed the ends of the arms scratch the lenses. Tried to warranty but no luck.

Smith Wildcat will fail you.
The arm of my wildcats snapped when using them as designed with a Smith bike helmet. I contacted Smith to ask for a warranty/repair/replacement. They refused and accused me of misuse. Smith; your products are breaking when used as designed and your lifetime warranty is a joke. i’m a long term Smith customer and professional outdoor professional and advise anyone reading this to look elsewhere.
