Why We Like The Gravel Cycling Shoe - Men's
Sidi blends the comfort and support of a road shoe with the mud-shedding upper and reinforcement of a mountain shoe to deliver a new gravel boot with the straightforward title of the Sidi Gravel Cycling Shoe. As manufacturers continue to reposition existing mountain bike shoes as 'for gravel', Sidi has engineered the Gravel shoe from the ground up with rugged materials and a dialed fit that forces us to rethink our long-held beliefs regarding the relevancy of gravel shoes. That is to say, if you need to find a proper gravel shoe, let it be this one.
The Gravel Cycling Shoe borrows long-lasting durability from Sidi's lineup of mountain bike footwear. A Politex upper combines PVC and high-density felt to promote a tough material with holes and mesh for airflow, so your feet stay dry and cool even if you find yourself sprinting through the mud. The heel and toe are reinforced with abrasion-resistant rubber to protect your foot in the event of a crash, and the nylon sole is reinforced with carbon to make the Gravel a walkable shoe for competition.

Used to mountain bike, a lot, now pretty much 70:30 road:gravel. Pretty much exclusively SIDI, I've got "frankenfeet", typically SIDI works best for my fit case. By swapping pedals had used both my typical road set up and MTB/Gravel setup and preferred road. My MTB shoes were a bit heavy and "overbuilt" for the type of gravel riding that I do the most of. These new "gravel" shoes are best of both worlds. SPD cleats, walkable lugged sole, good power transfer but with the right amount of flex for riding gravel. Comfortable right out of the box although I think they do run a bit small and I do have a wide foot so I went up a half size and they are perfect. I wasn't sure I'd like the single BOA closure system but although I usually have to tighten a click or two a couple time early in the ride you end up with great tension distribution across the whole system as the tension equalizes while you are riding. These are brilliant, really happy with them and if they are as "bulletproof" as SIDI's other top end shoes I expect many seasons of hard use and great performance.

Have had a number of gravel shoes. Average tendency is to last maybe a year before they're either thrashed by terrain or just plain worn out. I've had this pair of Sidi over two years and it has seen some abuse. Still looks good, still fits like a glove and boa mechanism still functioning flawlessly. This pair was more than my usual shoe price target but it was well worth the purchase. Regret not considering Sidi earlier. Would buy again.

They’re ok

The first red flag was my foot ripping out of them a couple times. Second red flag was the twist closer broke- luckily it broke in a tight position. Rather than investing any more, i left it broken and got shoes my foot wouldn’t rip out of. I keep them around because they make a nice slip on for my trainer. I recommend them for trainers and road

I just got the shoe and like the way it fits. I do have some concerns with the boa closure system. in a recent race the shoe closure device got jammed after getting mud on it. I tried to loosen my shoe at one point and it was a no go. I later had to tear the shoe off my foot and fiddle for a long time to get the system freed and working again. BUMMER
