Looking to replace after 18 months
Pros: - Felt sturdy when new, especially with hitch tightener. For example, bikes didn't wiggle at all on the highway (relative to vehicle) - Integrated bike lock feature is nice, although I wish the cables were a little longer Cons: - Ratcheting arms wore out quickly, and now swing freely rather than locking to hold wheels. At this point only a little friction between the hooks and the ties is keeping them in place which is not adequate or safe. - Modern trail/enduro mtn bikes (with their long wheelbases) don't fit well into the wheel trays, even with the trays extended as far as possible - As with any tray style carrier, it is difficult to fully load with 3-4 bikes due to all the overlapping bike parts in space and awkward lifting. I wish I had bought a vertical hanging style rack like Vel**axx, L**o, A**a, etc. (redactions mine, not sure if allowed or in good taste to directly mention other brands) - Working with the wheel straps as designed can be a pain, as you must lift the bikes in juuuust so, then reach around and through to tighten, etc. - The mechanism for lowering the rack to access rear vehicle gate requires some acrobatic reaching and stretching to use, especially when the rack is loaded with bikes. I gave up and don't use this feature. Vehicle rear gate is simply off limits when the rack is in use.

Would not trust this
The wheel trays are a brittle plastic and are prone to break. Just look at the product page for their replacement wheel trays, they have hundreds of reviews, thus thousands and thousands sold. I had a kid's bike on the rack and the trays broke twice! Why these trays aren't made out of metal is beyond me.

4-Bike Solid Low Profile Bike Carrier
Quick to fold, quick to latch. Solid grip. Love this carrier! Folded up on my mini-van, sits below the rear window. Super compact!

Nice compact 4-bike rack
Nice, compact and lightweight rack. Adjustability allows 4 bikes to fit without major contact points. Lack of weight makes it a little less rigid, so expect some flex and movement. Receiver sleeve insert (with nut for hitch bolt) could be improved as it slides into the square tube and makes it difficult to re-attach, and bolt comes loose easily (keep a wrench handy to tighten on gas stops!). I haven cracked a tire tray yet but I hope Saris will stand behind their warranty as it looks like a potential weak point.

Wow! What a well built, awesome rack!
Made in America! 🇺🇸 Fantastic quality and workmanship! I just got my new Ford Bronco and needed a 4-bike rack coming from a pickup. This was the best one I found. E-MTB capable, which was a requirement too!

Not fully compatible with a lexus nx35
Bought this one last fall for my old car, validated its compatible with my future Lexus nx 350h. Saris support confirmed it is compatible. Surprise, it cannot fold into the upright position.

Well Designed Rack
I have only used the rack a couple of times, but 1) this is the first 4 bike rack I've owned that fits 4 mtb bikes 2) all bikes were held securely 3) bikes were easy to load/unload 4) rack is considerably lighter than my previous 4 bike platform rack. This is a well designed rack and I am very happy with the purchase

Awesome
Glad I bought this - it is so much easier to get the family's bikes on and off compared to my old rack that needed adapter bars to hang that bikes without a horizontal top tube. Everything feels much more stable too and I don't have to worry as much about scratching any of the bikes when getting them on or off. The rack seems like it will be very durable and can last for at least the life of my car.

Best rack for mountain bikes
We have owned two of these bike racks over several years. They adjust to fit mountain bikes. We have several friends that have purchased them at our recommendation. After a few years our latest one had a little bit of give and when we called they sent us a replacement part no questions asked. Fantastic customer service.
