It’s hard to make a short-travel trail bike that satisfies both the cross-country crowd and the gravity side of the sport, but we think the Tallboy Carbon CC Mountain Bike Frame is just about the best place to start a zippy dream build. 120mm of lower link travel borrows tech from the longer travel Santa Cruz trail bikes for excellent tracking characteristics, with a super supportive feel for the climbs. The Tallboy is intended to be used with 29in wheels front and rear to provide excellent rollover capabilities for technical terrain found in places like Fruita or Bellingham, plus they roll super fast for XC rides.

The Tallboy benefits from balanced geometry figures like a 65.5-degree head tube angle which provides straight lining stability without going over the top, retaining maneuverability for tight terrain.
