The Santa Cruz Blur is our weapon of choice for toeing the line at our local XC race series or just for leaving our buddies in the dust on all-day singletrack epics. The lightweight, durable Carbon C frame is just slightly heavier than the CC layup but saves some precious cash that we can put toward our race fees. This modern cross-country race machine utilizes 100mm of Superlight rear travel for unreal rear wheel traction on grueling climbs, and just enough extra traction to clean the descents. The aggressive 68.3-degree head tube angle is steep enough to put us in a super powerful pedaling position, while the 29in wheels let us roll over rock ledges with ease.

Spec on this iteration of the Blur doesn't miss a beat, high-value RockShox components supporting season after season of racing and training. The bike is decked out with the SID fork and rear SidLuxe shock, two impressively lightweight systems that support on the descents and climbs. The drivetrain is fully kitted with SRAM's 12-speed GX Eagle drivetrain for reliable shifting in any conditions and an impressively wide gear range. Race Face AR 27 wheels are laced up to reliable DT Swiss 370 hubs for a low-maintenance setup that will keep us rolling through the increasingly gnarly cross-country courses we're seeing. Maxxis Aspen tires in the 2.4in width allow for better grip in the corners and low rolling resistance in the flats.
