cold mountain spring water has never tasted so goo
picked this up on recommendation from Jeff Pelletier on youtube, been trying to get into more long distance trail running and ultras and my god being able to refill straight from a cold mountain steam and drink icy water safely is kind of heaven, would definitely reommend

Okay flask, could be improved
I have mixed feelings about this flask. Pros: - Squeeze filtration bottles are great. - It's convenient to have a filtration flask that fits in my salomon vests. Cons: - Top is very hard to take off - the mouth of the bottle is soft, and it's difficult to grip the bottle and twist. - It would be nice to have a cap over the mouthpiece - it's really easy to get water you're trying to filter on the part you have to put your mouth on. Katadyn flasks have a cap that flips on and off). I have been using the Katadyn filter and lid screwed into the Salomon flask, which works just fine, but feels a bit silly.

Must have for mountain running
Being able to filter eat on the fly is so great. I used to carry liters of extra water and now I don’t have to.

Does its job
It’s okay overall. A couple things: (1)when the bottle isn’t full of water, you have to push water up with hands to be able to drink; (2)the handle seems to be unnecessary extra weight. I haven’t decided if I’ll use this for my next race because of (1).

Lifesaver!
I absolutely love this bottle! It was so much fun to be able to use it at a stream while on a long run in the Olympic mountains. I needed it to help refill my water, and I was so glad I made this purchase. The flow is great; mildly slower than the normal Salomon flasks. No complaints at all!!! I'll have to pick up at least one more soon. Highly recommend!

Perfect solution to minimising carry weight
I just did the GR54 with a minimal 3.5kg (base-weight) pack and that was possible, in part, to the XA Filter in my Adv Skin 12 vest. I may only have left the refuge or gite with 1 litre of water, but being confident that I could refill safely from sources en route made life easier.
