Why We Like The Sense Pro 5L Hydration Vest

We stuff our run essentials into the Sense Pro 5 Hydration Vest and take to the trail. The elastic strap and stretchy material allows our ribs to fully expand as our breathing becomes labored with the steepening terrain. As we sip, the included soft flasks collapse to reduce sloshing and bounce for distraction free miles.

Overall good vest

I bought this vest for training for a half marathon. In my training runs I found it great going shorter distance I had no issues atol but on the race day i was getting chaffing under my arms from the vest and was left with bruises on my ribs from the water bottles. I like the lightness of the vest and over all fit but I think the water bottles really need to be addressed as I have seen in previous reviews this is not just me who has had this issue.

Rubs the skin off your neck and tears

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Bought this to replace my UD vest that was my go to for years. It fits great, but whatever material they decided to use for the “PRO” is terrible. It’s like sandpaper. It has made my neck actually bleed on longer runs. The next issue if you’re running an ultra and are swapping bottles out good luck unless you have the exact hard some ones that come with this bag. Both water bottle compartments are torn and I’ve had stuff fly out several times. Terrible product that they will not stand behind.

great fit and comfort

It fits like a glove and is so light, plus it has plenty of storage for many hours running on our mountain trails.

Great fit but lots of chafe

I love the fit and features on this vest but the mesh interior really chafes my shirts even though it’s a snug fit so I won’t be able to keep using it. Such a bummer because I love everything else about it!

A must for long distances!

I am really happy with the Sense Pro 5, recently I had the Half Marathon of my city and it was so helpful. The two 500ml flasks were perfect for my whole race and kept me hydrated and the pockets were perfect to have my phone, gels, and car keys.

Great fit but the hard shell tips have to go

Have owned this vest for only a few days. On my first 25k run I loved it for the first 10k in but the hard shell tips of the flasks made it a painful last 15. I actually have marks on my ribs where they dug in. Great idea in theory. Should have gone with a different model. Expensive mistake.

Flexible Bottle leaks

I bought the hydration vest a few weeks ago and, for the most part, I am satisfied with the product. However, the seal on one of the flexible water bottles was broken and, as a result, the water leaked out soaking my clothes. In addition, the netting on the vest is abrasive and rubbed on my neck, causing an abrasion after a long run.

Great hydration vest!

I am very pleased with the fit and quality of this hydration vest. I understand some of the comments regarding the speed flask tips causing some discomfort, but I find that as soon as they are not completely full or after a few sips, the discomfort goes away. Also, some commented that the collar material is somewhat rough and can cause some irritation, but I found this is only the case with wide-collared shirt or a tank top, and only before I start sweating a little. All in all, I think a lot of people are being very harsh on minor issues, though they do exist. The vest has lots of room for snacks and accessories, is very light, and is comfortable even on longer runs (21+ km)
