Absolute Dry Lube
The Absolute Dry from Rock 'n' Roll is their driest lube. It goes on thin, which means it penetrates deep into the rollers of the chain and picks up the least dirt. But, because it is so thin, it will probably be the one that needs re-application with the greatest frequency. The guys from Rock 'n' Roll tell us that this lube can usually go 125 miles or so between lubings. Frequent, yes, but the flip side is that the chain stays cleaner. And as you know, a clean chain lasts longer than a dirty chain. Rock 'n' Roll says they routinely get 8,000 miles on a single chain when using the Absolute Dry.
Rock 'n' Roll lube cleans and lubes at the same time. Dribble it on by putting the bike in its biggest gear and backpedal. Drip from the top over the chainring or cog. Wipe off the excess. Shift to the small ring in front to wipe off the big ring. Wipe till the chain shines. You can ride right away, but letting the excess evaporate for a few hours or overnight is best. Rock 'n' Roll recommends not re-lubing until you hear squeaking. If you have more than one Rock 'n' Roll lube in your tool chest, you can put on the thicker formulations when it's wet and then apply the thinner when its dry and you don't have to degrease in between.
Rock 'n' Roll Absolute Dry Lube comes in a 4oz. bottle and should last you for one season.

Absolute Dry Hardcore Road Lubricant
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I read that this product was good for lubridating a bass drum pedal. After applying it, the pedal was smoother and faster, so I guess it works

My go to
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Goes on easy. Gets the job done. I've been through 4 or 5 bottles of this stuff. Nothing else is as long lasting and clean.
