I'm in Between M/L and X/L-XXL
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I wish I was not right in the dead center of both sizes! I purchased this model for the current SPIN technology as I just got back into mountain biking. I have tried the following POC models: Axion, Tectal Race (nonSPIN) and Tectal Race SPIN. 1. The Axion XL/XXL pushed my brow down when I was in riding position, but the L/XL did not fit my head at all. 2. The Tectal Race L/XL had a better fit, because of the non-SPIN silicon pads, but I was at the largest adjustment setting without a balaclava or other head covering. 3. The Tectal Race SPIN L/XL also felt great at its widest setting, but again without any head covering. I purchased the XL/XXL Tectal Race SPIN. I'm happy that I tried on the different levels of helmets with and without head coverings, as I am riding now in December and planning on riding thru the winter. Backcountry customer service has been great in the whole process of trying on and returning the various helmets.
