Nice and light

Great elbow pads! They don't pinch, dig in, or roll. Every few laps I have to pull them up a little but the two grip strips on the interior do a good job of keeping them in place.

Good elbow pad that's not huge; size up
- Size Bought:
- Medium
- Height:
- 5' 8"
- Weight:
- 160
Bought a medium, I'm 5'8" & honestly had trouble getting the pad over my watch. Kind of disappointing b/c I previously bought the ION E-Pact elbow pad size (M) & that one ran even smaller. This POC AIR I could at least get it on my elbows. However I never used & will exchange it for a large. I want something to help with crash rash / minor impacts. The POC sizing seemed larger than the E-Pact, which by a tiny bit it was - but I would advise you size up to be safe, it has a strap / elastic to help keep the pad on the arm if it runs a bit large by sizing up.

Good lightweight pads

I really like these pads, I don't notice them at all while riding. Have not had a crash with them yet (luckily) and have ridden around 5-8 times with them. I recommend choosing your size based on the forearm measurement, not the bicep. Based on forearm, I was at upper end of medium (11.75") but based on bicep measurement would be a large. I saw other reviews of people complaining about them sliding down so I opted for the medium and I'm glad I did. They stay in place for me even without the straps while not being uncomfortable tight, and don't go over your biceps anyway.

Comfortable and good protection

I?m wearing these pads on every ride, and they don?t bother me at all, even in hot weather. They fit me very well, and don?t move at all. I?ve ?tested? them twice in a crash, landing on my elbow/forearm in both cases at high enough speed to slide a little. Excellent protection both times, walked away without a scratch.

Don?t stay put
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I want to like these elbow pads but they just don?t stay in place. By the end of a descent they are around my wrists no matter how tight I make the Velcro strap. Seems like it would make sense to add a strap to the upper arm as well.

There when you need them and barely know
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I just rode 2 full hardcore downhill days and a 25 mile xc day and was so glad to have the pads. They paid for themselves already. A little irritating on the arm occasionally but the shape keeps them in place plus you have the straps. I originally ordered the g-force but the fit was not good. My friends had g force pads as rental equipment and they were constantly round their ankles. Very pleased with my purchase.

Fit tiny arms
I have a hard time finding elbow guard that would fit me. Everything ends up loose. My biceps is 9 inches and this XS fit me perfectly. If I wear this over my sun sleeve then it fit snugly. If your biceps is bigger than 9 inches, I would recommend you go for size S or bigger.

Pretty good, if sweaty
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I?m using these for flatland skating and they provide plenty of protection for my purposes. The guides on POC?s website suggested I order Medium, which turned out to be comically small. The large ones fit well and I have had no problem with slipping. They have a strap around the bottom that can be cinched down for those who need it. I find this mostly a hassle as it can tangle a little when you?re putting them on. My only complaint is that they make my arms sweat more than my old hardshell ones did.
