Select Glove
For everyday commute miles where racing performance and aerodynamics are less important than feeling guilt-free if you happen to coffee-stain your gloves en route to the office, the Pearl Izumi Select is a budget-friendly selection. Pearl Izumi claim the Select to be the most padded gloves in their line-up, ideally situating it to grapple with unwrapped chromoly bars or for shielding hands that tend to become pained quickly into common riding conditions.
Bright graphics add visibility on the roads, and the half-fingered design makes it easier to reach for supplies and snacks in the messenger bag.

The seams on one gloves ripped after a few light uses. Worst quality gloves I ever purchased.

Disappointing

I have probably done 4 1.5hr rides with these gloves and its stitching has already started to come apart. Fitting, support and damping are ok but the durability of these gloves is very questionable.

Ouch
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- Medium
I have bought and used many medium pairs of PI gloves over the years, but this model has been my favorite warm weather glove and I've own several pairs before these. My previous ones were wearing out, so I got these. I think it was likely a manufacturing defect: the gap between the middle finger and the ring finger was too deep and very uncomfortable. After a few hours the skin is red and irritated and it is a relief to take them off. I'll be donating them to Good Will because I waited too long to return them.
