Great Ultralight Rain Jacket

Easy to pack, lightweight rain jacket. Doesn't keep rain completely out when it's downpouring, but that is to be expected with a UL jacket. Otherwise does great in light rain and soggy conditions.

Backpacking requires the forethought to bring only what you need as weight becomes a significant factor with extended trips. This Helium jacket is a game changer when it comes to weather protection. The weightless feel and bombproof protection it provides makes it a companion on not only backpacking trips, but day hikes, after dinner walks, bike rides and simply dinner outings when weather is sketchy. I'm 5'9" and the Medium is perfect for me - allowing for a midweight layer underneath.

Leaks

After using this for the first time, it leaks. Was out in a steady drizzle for about an hour and water soaked through the material getting me wet

Great rain jacket!

Light weight, breathable, comfortable, and compact. Great for backpacking in the PNW!

Steady Eddy

This jacket does what it is supposed to do and I have purchased it to replace a well worn and well adventured previous version. A reliable lightweight option to keep rain off me on the occasional backpacking downpour is all I need.

Super lightweight, very comfortable. Works great. Packable into its own front pocket.

I carry this in my day pack every time I'm hiking more than a couple of miles. I had kept me dry on a several occasions including some heavy down pours. I love that it packs into it's own pockets and is super light weight. It's a great value. The one draw back for me is that there are no hand pockets, in mine. I bought my daughter one a couple years later and hers does have hand pockets. When I eventually have to replace mine that will be a nice addition to an otherwise great little jacket.

Great outer shell for any occasion

I’ve used this coat from everything during summer hikes where it was used as a summit shell to rainy days to even snowy days in the white mountains. This coat has stood up to any task that I’ve asked. It’s extremely lightweight and extremely packable. The fit is true to size also And I make this one of the few items that I carry on every run hike or long distance backpack.

Leaks, not waterproof

Leaks, fabric is not waterproof. It absorbes water in about 5 minutes. If the rain last longer then 5 minutes your clothes will we wet

Nice lightweight all use jacket

excellent light weight jacket, strong material and a nice color. Will be good for hikes, windy climbing days and packs down to stow small in a pack.
