Hydraulics Hydration Reservoir

Custom-fit suspension systems are Osprey's bread and butter, so it makes sense that the Hydraulics Hydration Reservoir is shaped with a rigid backer plate to prevent any interference with how your pack fits and carries. Additionally, the durable TPU reservoir material keeps water tasting exactly the way it should, and the bite valve keeps the hose secure when you're cruising up the trail.

Clean water coming your way

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Brought this 3L on an 18 mile backpacking excursion for a group of 4. Broken down it is easy to carry and doesn't occupy much space. I found it easy to fill (fortunately with a river) and set up. It provided immediate access to clean, crisp drinking water, everyone was able to fill their bottles from it. And best of all - no one got sick!

Best one I?ve ever used

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

The magnets are super convenient, The bite valve is really comfortable, The handle is great, and it?s super durable! The zipper top one time got stuck and it literally took three guys to get it off! But there is no damage it was just a little dirty.

Osprey + Sawyer Micro = Ultra-lightweigh

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this pack specifically for ultra-lightweight hiking in the PNW. The are numerous water sources and the smaller size (2L) combined with a Sawyer Micro in-line filter allows me to quickly collect untreated water from streams in the reservoir and filter the water as I drink it.
