We don't like having to replace our equipment when it wears down quicker than we expected it to, making longevity one of the most desired features in a road cycling tire. Michelin knows the importance of a long-lasting quality product and uses several high-performance materials and technologies to bring us the Power Road TS TLR Clincher Tire.
To increase the longevity of the tire, it is constructed with the X-Race rubber compound. This unique compound also provides superior grip and low rolling resistance, allowing riders to gain the confidence needed to hit any corner on the track without sacrificing too much speed. You are also highly protected from the ever-so-loved flat tire with the included Aramid Protek+ casing and tubeless-ready tires, allowing for a stress-free race day.

Great Performance?Painful setup
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I had these tires in the 28 width mounted to a set of Bontrager Aeolus Pro 5 TLR Road Wheel using the Bontrager rim strips. I attempted to mount them myself, but because of the tight fit, ended up having the local bike shop install them (they broke tire levers during the install). I then added 2oz of Stans sealant to each tire, but it took almost 2 weeks of riding and resting the wheels parallel to the ground over night to get them to seal up properly and hold air?they do hold air now similar to any tube set-up. I am now running these at 80 psi and the ride quality is fantastic they grip really well in the corners and they roll faster than my previous setup of the Michelin Pro4 Endurance tires. Over all a great quality product that is a royal pain the in the butt to set up.

Not so great
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Both tires arrived with a few little pock marks in them (Backcountry was very good about helping out with that). Although it was professionally mounted twice, the back tire doesn't hold air very well on my bontrager rim. After two or three days it's probably down to 30 lbs while the front is still rideable.
