Why We Like The Ikon 3C/EXO/TR Tire
We like a cross-country tire design that we can trust to perform well in all sorts of conditions, and that is exactly what you get with the Ikon 3C/EXO/TR Tire. Featuring three of Maxxis' best technologies, 3C Maxxspeed, EXO sidewall protection, and Tubeless Ready compatibility, you are sure to feel a high rolling speed, predictable handling, and quality braking traction.
Used mostly in cross country tires, the 3C Maxxspeed combines three compounds: a soft shoulder layer, a medium top layer, and a hard base layer. The two outer compounds are designed to provide a lower rolling resistance with higher quality treadwear and traction. On the sidewalls of the Ikon tire, the cut and abrasion-resistant EXO material is used to enhance the overall durability of the tubeless ready tire. Labeled with a "TR" on the sidewall, your tubeless tire provides you with the ability to ride with a lower air pressure to improve traction and rolling resistance. Another added bonus of riding a tubeless tire is a lesser chance of a mid-ride flat tire, making the Ikon 3C/EXO/TR Tire a great choice for your next cross-country ride.

Paired with a recon race in the front. The combo is great. Both are advertised 2.35” and both actually look the same size, which is something.
