CXR Ultimate Powerlink Tire - Tubular

If you've been using Mavic's CXR hoops to ride and race on, chances are, you already know how well the CXR Ultimate Powerlink Tubular Tire works with them. The tire integrates seamlessly with Mavic's CX01 blades, allowing them to slice through the air more efficiently than systems that work separately by allowing the air to flow over the tire without less disruption at the point where rim meets rubber. Mavic's Powerlink moniker simply means that this is the CXR wheel system's rear-specific tire, with a greater focus on low rolling resistance rather than the traction of its front-specific counterpart, the Griplink.

Mavic starts by designing the Powerlink tires in-house, relinquishing control of the manufacturing process to the rubber masters at Hutchinson. The rubber used in Powerlink is arranged with a firm center channel for low rolling resistance on smooth tarmac and soft shoulders for reassurance while cornering at speed. A nylon breaker helps protect the tires against ill-intentioned road debris, working with the tire's tubular construction to reduce the risk of punctures. The tire is built with a race-ready 210 TPI, which provides a smooth overall ride.
