Like the moldable CFC last used in the CX402, the Competition last is designed to focus your power output into the ball of your foot, and straight through to the pedal. And while efficiency is key, there’s added room in the toe box to allow for foot expansion under hard efforts. The result is that you don’t have to sacrifice a comfortable fit in the pursuit of a highly efficient shoe.

The BOA closure has been quickly adopted by the pro ranks due to the fact that it offers easy fine-tuning, and it stays tight throughout your entire ride. It’s highly effective at keeping your heel locked down, without requiring excess pressure. And as you probably know, that means better bloodflow and greater comfort. The BOA closure runs underneath an action leather upper, which has been enhanced with mesh panels to maximize foot-cooling airflow.
