Why We Like The Ibis Ripmo Mountain Bike Frameset
Back and better than ever, the Ibis Ripmo has been redesigned with new features that will surely be a hit. With a boost in rear travel, new frame features, and size-specific geometry updates, the new Ripmo gets all the modern updates we saw in the HD6 release and more. Now equipped with 150mm of DW-Link suspension, the Ripmo sees a small bump to travel, as well as size-specific tunes for a more capable bike all over the mountain. Ibis also revised their sizing, deploying the new Ripmo with five sizes, featuring a new extra-medium size in the middle of its range and a much larger extra-large size at the end of the range for a broader range of fitment compatibility for all sized riders. Combined with the size-specific chainstays, seat tube angles, and bottom bracket heights, the new Ripmo has a much better fit and ride feel than previous models. If that wasn't enough, Ibis also split up the wheel sizes, giving the two smallest mixed wheels and the three largest dual 29-inch wheels. Don't worry if you ride a larger frame and want a mullet setup; either wheel size is compatible thanks to the flip chip on the rear shock link. Finishing off the long list of updates, Ibis dropped on us their new internal frame storage system, featuring a unique handle locking mechanism and special edition Ibis x Cotopaxi storage bags.
*Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, material weight and exact components are subject to change. We are working diligently to keep tech specs updated, and any adjustments will be of equal or better spec level.
