Whether you're heading out for a multi-day bikepacking adventure, or enjoying some spirited trail riding on your favorite bit of singletrack, the Giro Gauge Mountain Bike Shoe is up to the task with its versatile design inspired by athletic shoes. It combines cycling-specific features like clipless pedal compatibility and a supportive fit, with the reliable grip of an aggressively-lugged rubber outsole and the feel of a trail running shoe. Low volume
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I learned after ordering these that Giro is notorious for low volume cycling shoes. Some people like that "one with the pedal" feel but I found it too restricting on top of my toes. I switched to the Giro Ventana (also 45) which uses a different shoe last more like their normal shoes and the fit was much better. Maybe just ordering up 2 sizes or so would have been enough but I love the Ventana!
