FSA's Carbon Pro Handlebar uses a carbon-wrapped aluminum construction. The rationale behind this design isn't to shave grams and pennies, but instead, to increase rigidity and create better hand positioning. As you've probably noticed in the pro peloton, aluminum cockpits are en vogue once again -- consider this as a revolt against flexible bars. Alloy bars not only remain stoic under torsional and lateral stress, but the shaping process allows for designs that accommodate multiple riding positions. The Carbon Pro handlebar fits the mold somewhere between 'ergonomic' and aggressive, with the drop being angled for days where you're digging into the wind. By wrapping the alloy in carbon, FSA exponentially increased the bars' stiffness, as well. Think of it like pouring concrete over rebar -- strength on strength.

The Carbon Pro features a five-position design and inset grooves to route your cables through. This eliminates the all-to-common discomfort of protruding housing. For a dialed-in angle, the bars also include a measurement application under where the face plate of the stem resides.

The FSA Carbon Pro Handlebar is available in the color Black and in a 42cm width. Please note that the handlebar is only compatible with 31.8mm clamp diameter stems.
