This review is for the new 2021 1X remote. I recently change to 2021 Fox Transfer, coming up form the older version with the original fox remote. The original wasn't too bad, but over time it started to develop a play , so I start looking for options. I did try Race Face Turbine R, since it was available at the LBS, but I wasn't too impressed by it. Even thought had oversized lever (too large for my teste) it required quite an effort to engage the post, with low sensitivity. Also, it sat too high when mounted with Shimano ISPEC II mount and it was quite uncomfortable to press, so I reverted to my old remote and kept looking. Considered PNW, and Wolf tooth, but when I saw this one I decided to give it a try, considering it's for Fox post. Glad I did, works great and it's extremely smooth, and requires minimum effort to engage the post, as well as great control on how much/how fast you want to drop. Mounting it with ISPEC II it's easy (bracket not included) and it's at the right level/hight for comfortable reach. The lever comes with 22mm clamp, SRAM MM hardware, as well as cable and housing, which is not bad deal for $65.

Great Light-Action Remote
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I've been using Fox Transfer seat posts for a while and have had just about each iteration of them. At first, I tried out the original Fox remote and I found it severely lacking compared to Wolftooth remotes which I eventually switched back to (and I've used the Wolftooth remotes on other droppers as well). Since Fox came out with this update, I figured I'd give it a try on my new bike build. So far, I've been very impressed and since I'm a fan of combining clamps with the brakes, I'm glad to see Fox provide this in a Matchmaker-compatible format to go with my Code RSC brakes. The action feels very light and placement options allowed me to dial in the distance from the grip to where I want it. I did end up using the SRAM-provided default MMX hardware which I think just looked a bit better. One thing to be careful of is that the bolt. that tightens against the cable protruded too deeply into the remote body. I couldn't figure out immediately why the remote wouldn't move until I pressed a bit harder and heard the bolt scrape the body. I'm not sure if I missed a washer somewhere in the packaging but I ended up taking a small M4 washer and using it to prevent the bolt from threading in so deep.
