34 Float 29 FIT4 Factory Boost Fork - 2020

The Float 34 from FOX is the quintessential trail fork refined over the years as a smooth, supportive, adjustable, and dependable fork when you need something a bit heavier duty and stiffer than its Float 32 but are seeking something lighter than its burlier all-mountain and enduro Float 36. Ideal for almost anything the trail might throw your way, the 34 Float 29 FIT4 Factory Boost Fork are available in 130 or 140 millimeters of plush travel as well as 44 and 51mm offset options for dialing it to your current or new steed's geo requirements. The 34 is always our go-to option for a mid-travel trail rig and its new FIT damper improves upon an already stellar fork.

This particular 34 Float slots in under FOX's Factory Series, meaning it's upgraded with Kashima-coated stanchions for better sensitivity, smoother off the top response, and higher levels of durability that simply lasts season after season. FOX's Float air spring uses its EVOL negative spring for increased sensitivity to trails littered with chunky rock gardens. This patented air transfer port system gives the fork a more linear feel with extra mid-stroke support and more tunable bottom-out progression. This technology is borrowed from its rear shock development and is now integrated into all FOX forks.

Not only is it increasingly sensitive, but the 34 Float's new Fit4 damper gives you the ability to switch between Open, Medium, and Firm settings on the fly. Though we're sure most riders will tend to leave their 34 Float wide open, some will definitely take advantage of the Medium and Firm settings for long climbs where energy conservation is necessary and smooth fire roads where excessive motion only slows you down. Additionally, you'll find there are 22 clicks of low-speed compression tuning in the Open mode, which helps to control excessive motion and brake dive to your exact riding style, weight, and local terrain to go along with 14 clicks of rebound adjustment. With a new 8mm damper shaft and an average weight savings of 35-grams, the updated FIT4 damper provides more sensitivity while maintaining support during aggressive riding. These modifications to the tuning and damper design also provide a more usable range of adjustment.
