Dumonde Tech Lite Bicycle Chain Lubrication
Dumonde Tech Bicycle Chain Lube Lite will keep your drivetrain components cleaner, allow them to last longer and run quieter than what you'd get from any other lubricant. It comes in two concentrations. This Dumonde Tech Lite is less viscous than the Original.
Dumonde Tech Lite soaks into the pivots a tad quicker and leaves a thinner residue. We use it on our road bikes exclusively. Though it can be used on mountain bikes, it requires more frequent applications. As you ride, it forms a low-friction plastic plating which bonds to the chain. It's environmentally sensitive as well.
To get the best results from Dumonde Tech lubes, first degrease your chain and dry it thoroughly prior to the first application. This effectively primes the surface for the "plating" effect that makes the lube so successful. For the first application, we recommend putting one drop on each link to really aid the plating effect, wiping the excess from the chain after it has had time to work itself into the pins. When your chain begins to get noisy, it's time to reapply. Use soap and water to clean the chain prior to re-application -- strong solvents and degreasers will remove the protective plastic plating from the chain, putting you back at square one.
This Dumonde Tech Bicycle Chain Lube Lite comes in a 4oz bottle that should last for 40 or so applications.

- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I forgot my T9 on a trip to Doctor Park and picked up a vial of Dumonde Tech at a bike shop in the Gunny. It performed well the chain was quiet and shifted well. It also built up an admirable amount of gunk on the chain and cassette. It's still mostly full but ready to fill in as the backup chainlube.
