RR 585 Rim

One of our old favorite rims, the DT RR 1.2 has been renamed RR 585. The new badging reflects the weight of the rim. It's 30mm deep and allows lighter riders to build up their favorite hub into a strong and reasonably aero wheel. Track riders can use it with abandon on any velodrome. The 585 also works as a great wheel for those who find average wheels a bit flexy. So it's a Clydesdale-worthy rim that still slices the wind.

The DT RR 585 rim comes in 32 hole drillings. There are no eyelets on the spoke holes. The rim is 19.5mm wide by 30.3mm deep. The rim joint has Strength Boost Welding Technology (SBWT) which means that two small sleeves are pressed into the rim ends, the joint is welded, then the seam and the rest of the sidewalls are CNC machined to create a perfect braking surface. There are wear indicators in the brake tracks; when they're gone, the rim is getting dangerously thin. The RR 585 is anodized black.
