Minus NX Eagle Mountain Bike

What was once difficult and sometimes outright impossible is now easy with the Devinci Minus NX Eagle Mountain Bike. The carbon forked fully rigid machine is ready to take on anything the elements could possibly throw at us. The bike comes stock with huge 4.5in tires, but the oversized wheel spacing means we can throw on 4.8in tires when the snow gets extremely deep and powdery. The Minus is built to be made into the ultimate commuter on the weekdays and fun-sled on the weekends for those of us who prefer wheels over skis.

It's easy to imagine a bike that doesn't have suspension would ride fairly aggressively, but while gliding over snow everything feels smooth and responsive. The bike is built to handle the freshly-packed groomed trails found in the northern areas of the world. The Devinci Minus makes its way through the snow quickly thanks to a progressive geometry that allows for trail shredding as well as it does endless pedaling. Modeled after a cross-country hardtail, the Minus does well to get around tight singletrack with a 69-degree head-tube angle. The 74-degree seat-angle is great for wallowing singletrack while the 1179mm wheelbase in a size large keeps the bike stable when speeds get high.

Kit on the Minus is supported by a cast of freeze-proof components. The items on the bike aren't affected by the cold, which is why we don't see any batteries on the spec list. The bike comes with 2-piston hydraulic brakes to put a stop to the slip-sliding in the snow while the uber-large 86mm internal rims support the widest bike tire rubber we can find. SRAM's Eagle drivetrain provides a huge range at the back to get up the steepest ice-covered hills and keep the speed high through cross-country singletrack. The cable-actuated group is impervious to the weather and doesn't mind regardless if it's 100-degrees out or -15-degrees. The Devinci Minus is built for snowy weather but can handle 365-day riding year after year, regardless of what's on the ground.
