Why We Like The Marshall SX Eagle Mountain Bike
What we needed was a bike that gets the job done getting us up and down the mountain so we ride the Marshall SX Eagle Mountain Bike. Built with 12-speeds and a wide range cassette we're getting up every huge wall and sending the downs on our 130/140mm travel rig with confidence. The no-fuss bike is great for our weekend getaways and weekly group rides. Devinci specs te Marshall with a plethora of no-nonsense parts that function without drama and perform well wherever we go.
With the way trail bike numbers are trending we'd be hard-pressed not to like what we get with the Devinci Marshall. Coming in with a 66.5-degree head tube angle means we're approaching big obstacles with confidence aboard this 29in wheeled machine. The trail bike gets an appropriately specced 77-degree seat tube angle, meaning we're climbing with confidence and relative ease compared to the bikes of yesteryear. Size-specific wheel sizes mean a size XS rider isn't going to have to push around heavy 29in hoops all day.
Kitted out with a 12sp Eagle system from SRAM has us spinning up the steepest of climbs we can find in our own backyard. Wheels come stock with aggressive Maxxis rubber, too, so we're confident whether we're hitting the bike park with friends or hanging loose on our local system. RockShox supplies the suspension and Devinci has smartly outfitted the Marshall with a SuperDeluxe in the rear paired with the new RockShox 35 in the front. 35mm stanchions are the same found on high-end RockShox Pike forks and resist flex from even the most aggressive trail riders.
The Devinci Marshall is a bike sure to impress on the descents and with its burly aluminum frame including added frame protection we're not worried about a few dings on the way down. Built with a split pivot design the bike won't buck us in high braking conditions and keeps the wheel glued to the ground under pedaling forces. When it comes to weekend trips with the family or weeknight rides with the crew we're glad we have the competent and budget-friendly Devinci Marshall, it has shown time and time again that it's able to keep up with the big dogs on the descents and stay comfy through the flow.
