AC NX/GX Eagle Complete e-bike
DeVinci builds the AC NX/GX Eagle Complete e-bike as a slack and aggressive long-travel bike that will take you deeper into technical trails. Think of it as a pedal-assist Spartan that quickly makes mincemeat out of the climbs and flat sections of the trail while serving up the descents to you while you're a fresher rider. It's constructed of the same Optimum G04 aluminum that's used on its high-performance mountain bikes, made in-house in DeVinci's Chicoutimi factory. Add to that Shimano's powerful STEPS E8000 motor and battery system and you have a bike that can tackle the most demanding trails.
The AC, like all of DeVinci's full suspension bikes, uses Dave Weagle's Split Pivot rear suspension platform governing the travel from its FOX DHX2 Factory rear shock, while up front, a FOX Float 36 Performance Elite front fork soaks up the hits. Travel is set at 170mm at the rear and 180mm up front. When the terrain gets steep and the speeds are high, you'll enjoy the stability that comes from the notably slack 65-degree head angle along with generous reach numbers helping you push your limits. The AC also receives DeVinci's FRG adjustable technology letting you choose a high or low geometry position that alters the bottom bracket height, head tube, and seat tube angle for your personal riding style and terrain.
Additional comfort, confidence, and grip are supplied from the high-volume 27.5 x 2.8-inch Maxxis plus tires that absolutely steamroll root lattice climbs and claws for traction on loose kitty litter over hardpack conditions. All things considered, the AC provides both the newer and more experienced rider with the ability to extend your rides and get you to places you may not have thought possible.
The Shimano STEPS E8000 motor provides the pedal assist, helping to level the steepest climbs, and preventing you from tiring out too quickly. There are three modes to choose from: Eco, Trail, and Boost. Eco delivers the least amount of power and consequently the longest range at 62 miles. It's ideal for those long trail ride days or when you're making a conscious effort to save power. Trail is the most usable mode for normal trail riding, progressively ramping up the power as you increase your pedaling cadence. Boost mode is quite powerful, providing considerable pedal-assistance for speeds up to 20mph. The computer display on the handlebar lets you easily switch between these modes, and shows you the current mode as well as your speed. With Shimano's E8020 battery integrated into the AC's downtube, you'll have juice for up to 47 miles of riding in Trail mode, or 31 miles if you go full-bore in Boost mode between charges.
