The famed Molteni Team raced on De Rosa bicycles from 1973 to 1978. With the legendary Eddy Merckx captaining the squad, Molteni went on to win all three Grand Tours, Milan—San Remo, Paris-Roubaix, Ronde van Vlaanderen, Leige-Bastogne-Liege, Giro di Lombardia, Tour de Suisse and the World Championships—all on De Rosa bicycles. Fast forward more than three decades to 2011 and we are pleased to introduce the De Rosa Marek as the RealCyclist.com Professional Cycling Team's race machine. Crafted using full-monocoque carbon fiber construction, the Marek combines the road feel of a high-end motorcycle with the snappiness of a slingshot. The over-sized headtube eliminates any hint of chatter at 35mph and won't flex like a wet noodle during a field sprint. The integrated seat post adds incredible stiffness while eliminating excess weight, and features an elliptical saddle support with a 25mm height adjustment to dial in your exact riding position. Blessed with internal cable routing and a full-carbon aero fork for wind-cheating performance, the Marek doesn't leave our riders a lot of room for excuses—which is why you'll be seeing an awful lot of orange on top of the boxes.
