Hammering up and down trails on flats with no grip isn't the most ideal scenario, but most of us also don't love the idea of blowing half of our bike-upgrade budget on pedals, fortunately Crank Brother's has you covered with the 5050 pedal. Built to handle a mix of XC, trail, and some big hits here and there, the 5050 balances out performance and price to fit your ride, enabling you to focus more on the trail ahead, and less on your foot slipping.
The 5050 uses a balance of two body materials, aluminum, and composite, which enables lowering the price of the pedals, while keeping the pedal comfortable, and absorbing trail chatter, instead of sending it into your feet. They feature 10 adjustable pins per side, so you can fine tune your contact patch to grip your soles. Securing the pedals to your cranks are forced chromoly steel spindles, and elite level bearings for buttery-smooth rotations, and exceptional strength when the trail gets a little wily or you're hitting it hard in the DH park. And for the days when big lines give a few good knocks to the pedals, the aluminum plates and pins are replaceable, so you have peace of mind in the event of one too many altercations with trail debris.
