Why We Like The Cervelo Soloist Rival AXS Carbon Wheel Exclusive Road Bike
When we only have room for one bike, we recommend the Cervelo Soloist Rival AXS Carbon Wheel Exclusive Road Bike for its do-it-all personality. This high-performance bike balances aerodynamics, weight savings, and riding comfort to keep us riding fast, efficiently, and as long as possible with its carbon fiber construction and race-day geometry. The Soloist frame mirrors that of the well-known Cervelo R5 race bike to keep us comfortable in a fast, powerful position with unmatched stability, poise, and precision to take us to the top of the podium. This Soloist is spec'd with the SRAM Rival AXS 12-speed drivetrain, a highly efficient electronic setup designed for easy shifting, reliability, and low maintenance. The wireless shifting allows us to simply tap a button to move between the 10-36t cassette range and 48/35t chainrings as we climb, descend, or chase a break, while the SRAM Rival hydraulic disc brake system provides a trustworthy braking experience with pinpoint control and comfort.

Bought this bike for my son. His first real road bike. I'm used to cables and rim brakes on my Colnago C-50. This was a whole new world. I love my Colnago but I am seriously considering getting a Soloist for myself. I've bought a few products over the years from Competitive Cyclist, but I've never purchased a bike. I spoke to a Gearhead by phone and he helped me get the right fit for my son. I'm pretty handy but by no means a bike fitter or mechanic. The fit was spot on. The bike was boxed perfectly. It was very easy to assemble. I was really impressed with the way in which it was shipped to us. I have no experience with tubeless tires so I was a little uneasy about that as well (again I ride a 20 year old Colnago). My son got his first flat a few weeks ago. The sealant sealed it up quickly so he could keep on riding until a new tire arrived. I was a little apprehensive about seating the new tire but honestly, it was easy. Great bike, great customer service and a great experience.

All around greatness
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

The Soloist is as billed. It's good at everything. Aero enough to be speedy in the flats, and light enough and geared well enough to climb. It is also super stable in decents. The SRAM AXS Rival work great. It's my 1st AXS bike and I'm kicking myself for not going to e shifting sooner. I will still be jealous of the builds with Reserve wheels, but the price point of the Competitive Cyclists AXS Rival build with Zip 303S wheels cannot be beat! It is amazing frame, AXS shifting, carbon mid profile wheels, all wrapped up in cable free beauty. A shout out to the staff at Competitive Cyclist. Using their provided measurement guide, measurements off my prior Road Bike, and several emails to discuss important questions, the Cervelo fit perfectly out of the box. Sorcery I tell you.
