Velocissimo Sanremo Suit - Men's

Castelli's original goal when creating its SanRemo Speedsuit consisted solely of achieving maximum aerodynamics for the WorldTour set. After succeeding, however, Castelli realized it had inadvertently created one of the most comfortable kits on the market by eliminating bib straps and allowing a jersey to hold the shorts in place. The Castelli Velocissimo Sanremo Suit brings this comfort into the mid-level realm by replacing the Body Paint bottom with one modeled on the beloved Velocissimo Shorts so that the rest of us can race or ride with the kind of comfort the pros enjoy.

The top half of this dynamic duo is a jersey designed in the style of the Aero Race, which is constructed using Castelli's polyester Velocity Dry fabric. Velocity Dry features a tightly-woven construction to rapidly usher airflow over your body as you ride. As its name suggests, it also expertly manages moisture as you ride and creates a contoured, anatomic fit. A girdle of limited-stretch material keeps the three rear pockets well-behaved, even while they're loaded down with enough spare tubes to see you over the stones of the Hell of the North.

The bottom half of the suit is Castelli's bestselling Velocissimo Short. Part of the genius behind the Velocissimo is that it makes full use of the qualities of the special Affinity Lycra 210GR fabric. Affinity Lycra is the secret weapon behind many of Castelli's most comfortable pieces because it has a wonderful stretch-return property; it's able to give when you need it to then retake its shape once you are back in your habitual riding position. Between the fabric's amazingly soft, smooth texture and Castelli's use of a ten-panel construction, the bottoms will follow your body so well that you won't even remember you have them on.

Castelli lines the suit with its KISS Air chamois, which is inspired by the top-tier Progetto X2. The KISS Air is made with dual-density foam layered strategically to provide a mix of relief and support to the areas that need it, and it's completed with a plush microfiber top layer next to the skin. This soft, bacteriostatic outer layer both serves to improve comfort and facilitate moisture transfer throughout the chamois, ensuring it follows your body movements in the saddle while keeping you dry. Finishing touches like GIRO3 leg grippers and reflective accenting round out a design that expertly blends function, fit, and attainability.
