Why We Like The Castelli Perfetto RoS 2 Wind Short-Sleeve Jersey
Built for excellent weather protection during spring and fall rides, the Castelli Perfetto RoS 2 Wind Short-Sleeve Jersey offers the perfect amount of warmth without sacrificing breathability. Its lightweight GORE-TEX INFINIUM WINDSTOPPER 203 Stretch fabric on the jersey front and sleeves blocks the wind, while its back Nano Flex Light Woven fabric keeps out water for a comfortable, dry ride. The Perfetto RoS 2 Wind can be worn as a stand-alone jersey with a base layer for mild days, or as a vest-like layer over a jersey on colder days for an extra layer of warmth.

Perfect for road riding
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Road riding can be hard to stay warm. On the one hand, you are working, which heats you up. On the other hand, the harder you work, the more cold wind you generate. It is also often done in the open, so the weather often creates wind too, more so than mtb or such. Then there are rain showers or fog. The Perfetto is a super useful and versatile layer for all this: Completely windproof in the front and sleeves (which are long enough to mate well with arm warmers), but thin and breathable, so it doesn’t add insulation. This allows you to layer underneath for a wide range of conditions, or even take it off and pack it on the bike if it really heats up. The Windstopper fabric on the front is waterproof (if clean), so it will protect you from wetness chilling you if it’s warm, or keep you dry for a short, gentle shower. Race fit, so size up if you don’t want that. Also, it’s shaped for riding, so don’t try it on standing straight up right. This new version doesn’t have as long a drop tail anymore, unfortunately.
