ENVE Fray

Fray is the latest bike out of ENVE’s burgeoning stables and fills out the quiver alongside the gravel-mashing MOG and the road-racing Melee. Fray covers that space where a lot of riders spend most of their time: endurance riding. Designed to take you on a ride with few limits, Fray is a bike everyone will love to ride.

How’s It Ride?

This bike took us by surprise. We know ENVE bikes are mean machines and a lot of fun to ride, but Fray seems to be on another level. It rides like an extension of you: responsive to inputs but not really feeling like it needs them. Ride quality is super smooth and descending on it is a dream.

How Ours Is Equipped

Fray comes as a frameset, so let your dreams run wild with it. We saw ours as the ultimate endurance machine and went with a build to reflect that. We could have run ENVE 4.5 wheels but chose the lighter 3.4 set to have less to pedal around deep into a ride. But we didn’t skimp on the drivetrain or front end where the SRAM Red AXS and one-piece bar/stem felt right for the bike and gave it a stunning profile.
