The grippy rubber sole is designed with integrated Crash Pad flex segments, giving you tons of sensitivity and control on all sorts of terrain, while the BioMoGo DNA midsole provides lightweight cushioning. The addition of a forefoot Rock Shield keeps stones from destroying your shoes and feet—that is, unless you approach a rocky trail like a toddler rampaging through an older brother's block castle. With its' 10mm drop, the Cascadia's certainly not a minimalist shoe, but it sure won't feel like lead even when you take into account the moisture-wicking lining and classic lace-up construction.
