Smart Go Trainer

Riding indoors is often a necessary evil during the winter months and unpredictable spring weather, but with the advent of smart trainers, the training is more focused and the ability to race on actual routes makes trainer time way less mundane than it once was. The problem is, most units are pretty expensive, but BKOOL is hoping to change this with its Smart Go Trainer. This easy to use trainer features ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart wireless transmission to indoor cycling software offering realistic inertia simulation for a ride that mimics the road while being very quiet in operation. The trainer is truly plug-and-play with no calibration needed for easy set-up. The Smart Go comes with the adjustable magnetic resistance unit, frame/wheel attachment, USB ANT+ stick for hooking up to your computer, QR skewer for attaching the rear wheel, and a power cord.

The unit creates enough resistance to reach 800 watts and can simulate uphill gradients of 8 percent, so you can get an early start on those upcoming races and the included software can even let you race against your friends in VR. The other feature that impressed us, and surely your neighbors and housemates, is the resistance unit's super-quiet operation. At 19mph, it only puts off 75 decibels. For reference, average conversations are between 40 to 80 dB. The trainer is light and compact with a folding swing arm and the ability to be disassembled into two pieces. This makes it easy to store and coming in at under 22lbs, it's perfect for travel. Remarkable, considering its design with telescoping legs for increased stability even during the most intense, out-of-the-saddle sprints.

Included with the purchase is a free 3 months' subscription to BKOOL's premium training software that provides a realistic simulation of thousands of real routes and a number of indoor training classes without leaving your home. The software works on a multitude of operating platforms and devices, including Windows, OSX, iOS, and Android.

Additionally, you can use this trainer with other popular cycling simulation software, including Zwift, TrainerRoad, and Sufferfest. It works with most wheel sizes, however, mountain bikes may require a separate thru-axle for use with the trainer.
