Looks great, feels better.

Your frame won’t look so hardcore when it’s covered in dings and scratches, but the way you ride means that's definitely a possibility. Use the All Mountain Style Honeycomb Frame Guard XL to protect your frame, and enjoy a great-looking bike for season after season. This PVC guard is adhesive, so it’s easy to apply, and can even be readjusted while you’re putting it on. The XL size is ideal for trail, all-mountain, enduro, freeride, and downhill bikes.

too small and weird shapes?

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These did not fit well for my Trek Road bike (maybe it's not meant for oversized tubes)? I managed to use about half the pieces to cover my downtube, but the thing strips and rectangular piece didn't seem to naturally cover any useful parts of the bike (for example they definitely don't cover any fraction of the fork). I also couldn't find any diagrams or drawings of how you're supposed to install these extra pieces online, and the videos on the company website didn't really shed any light. Another gripe is that the chevron shapes have a progressively decreasing sizes, so if you use all of them to cover the downtube (which I needed), the ones at the ends don't fully cover the sides. The quality of the plastic seemed good, and the clear(ish) ones let the frame color show through and are not too visible. Overall I wouldn't buy these again though because of the size issues.
